While announcing at a football game, Lisa Stewart noticed the athletic director from the opposing team walking across the field and up the stadium steps to the press box. Upon entering the press box, he asked her if she was the host of the Sports Minute on the local NPR station. People remember Stewart’s voice, and that very quality will bring distinction to your product, project, and organization. For as long as she can remember, Lisa Stewart has been using her voice. She competed in spelling bees and speech contests throughout her childhood and teenage years. She performed in multiple theatre productions and won awards at theatre and speech competitions in high school. Stewart graduated from Stetson university with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Faculty and staff nominated her to give the commencement address at her graduation. An award-winning educator, Stewart taught high school Theater Arts, Language arts, and Public Speaking for almost 20 years at Fort Pierce Central High School. At Central, she became the voice of the Cobras. You can hear her voice on Friday nights at the home stadium during varsity football games. You can still hear her voice on the school's interactive voice recording. While teaching, she also worked as a Sports Radio Personality for the local NPR station- 88.9 FM space WQCS- in Fort Pierce, Florida. During her six years at WQCS, Stewart would go on to win three Florida Associated Press awards for Radio Broadcasting and produce three radio dramas. For three years, Stewart also worked as the News Director at 104.5 WFLM the Flame. A professionally trained voiceover artist from Such A Voice, Stewart was coached by voice actors Robin Brook and Tim Powers. She can bring the voice of a confident, witty, energetic girl next door. Her voice can also evoke the engaging and eloquent tone of an informed professional. She brings an honest and conversational sound to projects.
